About AquofiGarb
AquofiGarb is a luxury fashion house founded by Oyang, a proud daughter of Cameroon’s North West Region — the Grassfields — home of the creators and custodians of the iconic Bamenda Toghu. Often referred to as “Graffis,” the people of this region have long carried a rich artistic legacy expressed through bold, symbolic embroidery worn at royal ceremonies and cultural gatherings. After years building a successful career in Corporate America, Oyang felt called to elevate Toghu beyond traditional functions and reposition it within global spaces of influence and style.
AquofiGarb was born from that vision — to bring Toghu from the Grassfields to Wall Street, from graffi gatherings to high street fashion, from cultural backdrop to contemporary luxury. Through structured tailoring, refined silhouettes, and authentic embroidery, the brand blends heritage with modern elegance. Aquofi — meaning “New Beginnings” in the Widikum dialect — represents a bold new chapter where African identity is not adapted to fit the world, but confidently defines its place within it.
